On June 21, Chapman50 members, prospects and special guests gathered for a special event in beautiful Corona del Mar. Governor Lula Halfacre and Chapman50 member Natalie Halfacre ’08 hosted the event at their personal residence overlooking a crowded beach on the first official day of summer in Southern California.

Upon arrival, each attendee of the event was invited to sample a latte, espresso or other beverage courtesy of Natalie and Gavin Halfacre's most recent enterprise, The Aussie Bean Coffee. The coffee was amazing and the caffeine rush was a great way to get the energy built up for the party.

The setting was perfect for Chapman50 members to continue to learn more about each other, spend time together and build deeper connections. This summer gathering was also another great opportunity to continue to build relationships with university leadership.  We were honored to have President Jim Doti attend with his wife Dr. Lynne Doti.  Jim had just flew in from Chicago and came straight to the party from the airport.  We truly respect his commitment and desire to spend time with Chapman50.  Chancellor Daniele Struppa was also in attendance for our event and expressed gratitude and optimism for the future of Chapman50.

On behalf of Chapman50, we would like to thank the Halfacre family for graciously hosting this fun, purposeful and very memorable event.
