Professional Soccer Coach/Technical Director

Throughout his career, Shaun has been fortunate to work in sports leadership within eleven countries spanning five continents. Shaun worked as part of the technical staff for the LA Galaxy within Major League Soccer, where he was part of (MLS) Cup and US Open Cup Championships.  In England, he coached at Everton Football Club of the Barclays Premier League within their international football development and served as Head Coach u20 and u23 USL teams.  Shaun has also worked with Capital City professional football club in Canada as Technical Director and Head Coach additionally Shaun has coached at the academy, college and university levels, domestically and abroad.

Shaun has been in several positions of leadership including two of the three FIFA World Cups and their organizing committees held within the US.  Additionally, he developed the WCHSC and served as its executive director from 2001-2006, which became the most exclusive prep soccer event in the country.  Shaun was pivotal in gaining national recognition for WCHSC through a broadcast deal with Fox Sports, which saw the event broadcasted on LIVE national television - the first amateur soccer event to have reached such a feat.  He has also served on executive board/leadership committees, including Nike Project40, United Soccer Leagues and the US Soccer Foundation. Furthermore, he developed his own foundation, SUSA, in 2001.  The SUSA foundation has annually raised funding for global, national and local community projects where its guidance and leadership includes bringing ‘educaton through sport,’ within diverse communities, nationally.

Shaun is the associate men’s soccer coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Cal Poly SLO holds four of the six records for all-time highest attendance for NCAA Division I men’s soccer matches and is in the top three in national attendance. Shaun will continue as a performance and technical analyst with the UEFA (the national football association of Europe) where he most recently served at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Although Shaun travels internationally for team competitions, he holds US residence in Montecito, CA.
