State Senator recognizes Mike Brown '06 for Outstanding Efforts

Senator Bob Huff pays tribute to auto aftermarket retailer and modification center’s role in community.

Chapman50 chairman Mike Brown '06 was recently honored by State Senator Bob Huff, who presented a Certificate of Recognition to the company on April 14, 2016. Senator Huff, who represents California’s 29th Senate District, paid tribute to ModBargains co-founders Mike Brown, CEO, and Ron Hay, President, recognizing the duo and their team for building such a successful business, while serving as a business role model in the La Habra community.

ModBargains and sister unit ModAuto, which provides expert modification services to auto enthusiasts, recently announced a 25% increase in sales volume in year over year performance, from 2014 through 2015. The impressive growth comes after significant gains in both 2013 and 2014, and underscores the progress the business has made from their investments in upgrading both staffing and quality product inventory.

According to Brown, the visit by Senator Huff puts an exclamation point on the company’s recent growth, and serves to bolster their plans for the future. “We are humbled and honored to be recognized by California State Senator Bob Huff. This was a true surprise delivered to us by our purist friends Patrick Wang and Sean Lee. The credit goes to our amazing team of car enthusiasts here, who put their talents to work every day to achieve excellence.”
