He shoots, he scores! Another win for the Chapman50 crew! The first Chapman50 event of the year brought together insight, laughter, and excitement for the upcoming year! Members shared stories of success at their businesses, households and philanthropic endeavors. President of Park West, Dustin Kemmerer ’97, hosted Chapman 50 members in a suite at the Anaheim Ducks vs. Buffalo Sabres game on February 24. He shared stories of his company’s early success in the first few months of the year and how he works closely with the Honda Center.
Natalie Wilkinson ’08 shared photos of her and Gavin’s baby boy, Jackson, as all the members in attendance congratulated her on the addition to her family. It's moments like that in our group which are the true bond we have formed as alumni inside Chapman50, which is extremely meaningful and powerful to all of us as a group.
With 3:20 left to go in the 2nd period the Ducks scored to take the first lead of the game and the Chapman Panthers celebrated along with their local Ducks fans! Shortly after, during the intermission, Chairman Mike Brown '06 took the time to share insight on our plans for further engagement with the mentorship program, news on our annual retreat, and goals for the upcoming year.
Soon after, Dustin took center ice as he shared his enthusiasm and passion for Chapman50 and how much he appreciated the group. Then he proceeded to present our chairman (a die-hard season ticket holding Kings fan) with a gift - a personalized Mike Brown #16 authentic Ducks Jersey, probably one of the most ironic moments of Mike’s life and an amazing way to usher in his new chairmanship in Chapman50!
The amazing evening was capped off with a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience with a shoot out on the ice! Casey Kasparzyk ’01 and Jeff Cole '01 were spotted on the ice testing their skills at shooting the puck into the net. We thank you Dustin Kemmerer for putting on an awesome event for the Chapman50 crew to reunite in the New Year.
