Jamie Latiano Jacobs Wins San Diego Business Journal Award

On Thursday October 5, 2017, Chapman50 welcomed Distinguished Chapman University Alumni Maci Peterson as part of its “Innovation” event series.

Maci is the co-founder and CEO of On Second Thought, a messaging app whose patented technology lets users take back text messages before they get to the other person’s phone. She has been featured in and recognized by many top nationwide publications and TV networks for her accomplishments as a tech entrepreneur and marketing expert.

In a “fireside chat” session facilitated by Chapman50 member Scott Pastel, Maci shared her experience as an innovator, and discussed the benefits of nurturing relationships with mentors to learn and succeed.

The event was held at the 1888 Center, founded by Chapman University alumnus Kevin Staniec. Located at the heart of the historic District in Old Towne Orange, California, the building was constructed in 1925 and now hosts a bookshop, gallery, multi-use performance space, and café serving creative beverages.

A Podcast recording of the event is being produced and will be shared as soon as it is finalized and published.
