This elite group of upcoming Chapman leaders shares a commitment to professional success, personal growth and community involvement. As such, prospective members will be initially identified for professional excellence or other influential roles from a diverse range of industries. Each prospective member who meets the requirements below will be nominated by two current members and finally voted on by the Chapman50 Council. If approved, newly elected members will receive a formal invitation to join the Chapman50. All candidates must meet the three requirements below:
Members meet one requirement from the leadership category—either professional or civic. In select cases, criteria may be met in other ways.
Professional Leadership Members must have a minimum of three years working experience and hold one of the following titles:
- Vice President
- C-level positions
- Equivalent of any of the above, title may vary according to industry.
- Non-profit board leadership experience
- High degree of affiliation and volunteerism at Chapman University
- Volunteer service or fundraising background
Nominees must be approved by the Chapman50 Council by June 1st before the applicant reaches his or her 50th birthday.
