A record number of Chapman50 members and guests gathered at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach on December 19, 2014 for the group's second annual Holiday Party.  The Pacific Club was decadently decorated in the holiday spirit, creating a festive ambiance for the event. This was a perfect event to bring the growing membership of Chapman50 together. For several attendees, this was their first event as a Chapman50 member. For others, the event was a milestone of two years of membership to see a vision into a reality.

Chairman and founder Sinan Kanatsiz '97 (M.A. '00) had a very special announcement to make as he addressed the members. While at the event, Sinan received an e-mail from Dylan Balsz, confirming his intent to join Chapman50 as its official 50th member! The remainder of the evening was a celebration of the membership reaching its target goal of 50 members before the close of the 2014 calendar year.

In addition to a celebration of the friendship, vision, hard work, and camaraderie established in 2014, this event had another important philanthropic purpose. Each member of the group came with an unwrapped toy in hand to participate in the Chapman50 Toy Drive to benefit Boys Town of California. The opportunity to contribute to Boys Town of CA was made possible by Sinan, who is a board member for Boys Town. Lawren Ramos, executive director of Boys Town CA attended the event to accept the toys on behalf of his organization.
